Tax Consultations on the National e-Invoicing System - Will there be further changes?

On July 18, 2024, tax consultations were held regarding the National e-Invoice System (KSeF). During the meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Finance (MF), key findings were presented. Considering the intense discussion, further changes to the project can be expected.

  • Mandatory KSeF – February 1, 2026, and April 1, 2026
  • Schema Update – work on version FA(3) will begin in September 2024
  • Possibility of adding attachments to invoices issued in the system
  • Paper invoice version – limit of 450 PLN per document, 10,000 PLN monthly
  • New regulations will be proposed in the fall

Important: The Ministry of Finance recognizes the issue of invoice issuers' responsibility for identifying the buyer as a taxpayer. They are aware that not every buyer may disclose their VAT taxpayer status, and in such cases, the invoice issuer potentially bears responsibility for issuing the invoice outside KSeF.
